Ask your doctor about Advair. You should also have a pulmonary functions test performed so that you can compare it when you are this sick. I also didn’t see that you have a rescue inhaler, if you don’t have one get one ASAP.

it can take weeks sometimes. For some asthmatics it is really commen to be wiped out after after a really bad attack or series of attacks. My son missed a month of school after a 3 day hospital stay due to asthma because he was just too weak to walk down the hall to the bathroom let alone from class to class. You have to remember that your whole body had to work hard to get enough oxygen to support itself because you were not breathing well and as we all know a major work out is exhausting and if that work out last several days or keeps coming back you will be tired. When my son is sick with asthma I make sure I get plenty of vitamin C into him to boost his immune system so he does not contract anything in his weakened state. We also try to avoid public places for awhile and make sure if someone does go out that they wash their hands and face before going around him. Sorry you feel so bad and that I dont have any ideas to make it better

I agree about the Advair. I have had debilitating asthma in my life but for the last few years it has been under much better control. Look around at the other triggers inside your bedroom. Remember that when your lungs are compromised with a cold, or whatever, they also are over sensitive to other triggers. I am triggered by extreme changes in air temperature, as well as indoor allergens, and seasonal outdoor ones. I have been in good control with 1.Air purifier 2. Advair 3. Singulair 4. nasonex 5. Testing with a breathing meter during bad lung seasons. Good luck. It takes an extra amount of help and energy to get lungs back, after a sickness. Take care.
