What exactly do you mean: are they using the inhaler at appropriate times or are you talking about the technical aspects of how they give themselves a puff?  The first question could be answered by having them keep a log, including things like symptoms, triggers, peak flow values, how many puffs, results of the dose.  The obvious answer to the second one is to watch them use their inhalers.  :)</description>
