Evelyn Handy

Asthma is a serious respitory disease. I'm sixteen and my mother, grandmother, sister and i all have it. An asthma attack is an attack on your lungs that cause a lack of air production. I have SEVERE asthma and my attacks are horrible. When having an attack, the best way to describe the feeling is, it feels like you are being suffocated. As if someone has their hands over your nose and mouth and there is a tight rope around your neck. Your lungs are working hard to compensate and give you more air, but it's not happening fast enough and you CAN'T BREATHE! The severity of someone's asthma attacks depends on the severity of their asthma. There are medicines that help to control your asthma and there are rescue inhalers that are used during an attack. BUT HONESTLY...Some ppl use it as an excuse to get out of doing vigorous activity...Especially at school

Maricela Mcinturff

Asthma is a chronic condition in the respiratory system where the airways constrict, become inflamed, and are lined with excessive amounts of mucus, making breathing difficult (especially during athletic activity). It can be triggered by environmental irritants or athletic activity.

An asthma attack is when the airways close completely and breathing is literally impossible until they can use an inhaler or get to the hospital.
