First & foremost, talk to your Dr.or Nurse Practitioner. You also can talk to your pharmacist. He/She knows what other medications you are on & how the interact with each other. Has your Dr. ever had you for allergy test? I know that my daughter (26) has her worst times during the fall. Really, any time the weather changes. During these bad times your Dr. might choose a steroid along with your other meds. A good relationship with your Dr. & his office is imperative.

    Edit:
I believe you would benefit by checking your stress level. As you know, asthma attacks can occur from too much stress. I had the worst asthma attack I’ve ever had when told of the death of my brother. Also, you need to search out info on Advair and see if you have developed too much tolerance for it. There are other inhalers that work as well or better than Advair. You may want to speak with your doctor about trying a different type.

I use Advair Diskus and get great results. It is not to be used more than twice a day, dosage 12 hours apart. I don’t use it that often because I do well unless I’m exposed to cleaning chemicals, cigarette smoke, etc. You do know that cold air causes asthma attacks. With winter approaching you need to make sure and cover your nose and mouth when outside in cold weather. Keep your emergency inhaler with you at ALL TIMES. You may also want to make sure you have blown ALL the air out of your lungs before using the Advair Diskus. That helps to inhale the medication deeper into your lungs.
