Josephine Meneses

both of those recreational activities have a tendency to enhance the other. Add that to the heat and it was a mixture off all three. I myself cant do both at the same time. makes me throw up. In the future you will have to chose one or the other lol. but other than that i belive you are just fine.

Sonia Newsom

This is bizarre - I had the exact same thing happen to me a few years ago. I had only 2 beers, and I stupidly took some weed from someone I didn't know. The next thing I knew I felt very nauseous, so I got up to go outside because I thought I was going to be sick. It all happened very quickly - I lost my vision completely, then I passed out and was unconscious for less than a minute. I was completely wrecked for about 10-15 minutes, then I was totally fine. The next day, I had no troubles, and haven't since. To this day I still don't know exactly what happened, but I'm pretty sure the weed was laced (or it was very strong weed).

I'm thinking that might be what happened to you.

It probably wasn't a stroke since you recovered so fast, but if heart/stroke problems run in your family, it couldn't hurt to have yourself checked out once in a while.

Good Luck (and maybe stay away from the weed ;-)

No I doubt it!! If it was a stroke you would not have been so quick to recover. Maybe you got the whities or something.

Jessica Curry

Transient ischemic attack (Mini-stroke) is suspected in your case. A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is focal brain ischemia producing sudden neurologic deficits that last < 1 h. Diagnosis is clinical. Carotid endarterectomy, antiplatelet drugs, and warfarin decrease risk of stroke after certain types of TIA.
Prevention of TIA includes controlling the risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and other associated disorders. Smoking should be stopped.
The use of blood thinners may prevent strokes in some patients who have blood clots or atrial fibrillation.
Aspirin therapy (81mg a day or 100mg every other day) is now recommended for stroke prevention in women under 65 as long as the benefits outweigh the risks. Women over age 65 should take aspirin to prevent heart attack and stroke only if their blood pressure is controlled and the benefit is greater than the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and brain hemorrhage.
Carotid endarterectomy in select patients may prevent stroke.
