Any Dr’s office that tells you that there is nothing more that they can do is an idiot. Find another Dr. Yes, it is possible to break a rib from coughing especially for so long. and they can do something about it first find out if it is broken, then bandage to support the rib and give you something for the pain stronger than Tylenol, it would also help your cough anyway I am not the Dr, but take your pillow across your chest and hold firmly, this is called “splinting and it may help some . I know how sore all those muscles are. They said whopping cough but maybe you now have a little pleurisy can’t get a website right now for you but basically You can’t even hardly breath with it. I doubt you have it but they could give you something for the pain especially to sleep with Good Luck and God Bless
Go to a emergency room now! They can perform an xray to be sure. Sounds like it’s more than sore ribs to me! You might have a collapsed lung which is very serious!!!
