Well thats interesting point. The problem is since you lived there for 2 yr s with existing problems, in court it will taken as you accepted the conditions. Aslo as you said that you have asthama problem you should move out asap and then deal with the problems.
I don’t think you have any legal standing. You can always ask your landlord to considre the expence, inconvience all togather and see if you both can come with somekind of remedy.
you can put your money in escrow threw the court system i hope you have renters ins your belongings now have mold spores in them on them ,bed,clothes,etc…they should be held responsible for on going problems caused by their neglect so what I’m saying is get a lawyer…
It sounds as though you have made several attempts to get your landlord to fix the problem. If you can document this, do so. I would move to another apartment, then call the health department, then take him to small claims court to try to get reimbursed for damage and medical bills.
