Obama’s dog is a Portugese Water Dog. This dog has been extensively trained by the Kennedy’s personal dog trainer. Please make sure that you do your research as this dog may not fit your lifestyle. This is not the only breed that is a less allergenic dog.
DO some research and find out which breed is right for you and your lifestyle.
Portuguese Water Dogs are not hyperallergenic. People are allergic to their dandruff and sometimes saliva, not to their fur, so even if a dog is low shedding, like the PWD, you could still be allergic to the dog. Experts say the best way to find out is to experience the dog first, and find out, because some dogs can bring on a reaction more than others, even within the same breed.
Its a Portugues Water Dog-no dog is hyper allergenic but this dog does not shed. All dogs have dander and dust and allergein that collect in their coats but some people can tolerate a shedless dog – thou if your allergies are from dust/common airborne allergiens then you’ll still have symtoms…..Sorry but no dog is hyper allergenic

because all you could find that breed of dog from is BReeders, or puppy mills, which are BAD.
if you really want a dog that you will not be allergic to, go to your local animal shelter and ask them.
no dog is completely hypoallergenic, because it is not the fur that causes allergic reactions and such…it is the saliva. so you could get almost any breed of dog you want as long as you bath it regularly with a hypo shampoo…and i mean REGULARLY!!! every 6-8 weeks! oh and his dog is a Portuguese water spaniel…which is funny because i could have swore he said he was getting a shelter dog? hmmm…i wonder what else he lied about…

Dogs dont “bring” asthma.. there are some breeds that people with allergies tend to tolerate better, but no dog is 100% hypoallergenic! Some other breeds include poodles and bichons.

Nothing “brings” asthma. Asthma attacks are triggered by stimulants in the environment or by stress.
Obama’s dog is a 6 month old Portugese Water Dog named Bo. Portugese Water Dogs are typically hypoallergenic, or low-shedding, dogs.

There are other dogs that are also considered to be good for people with allergies or asthma. I think poodles are another breed.

it’s a portuguese water dog.
all dogs shed skin, it’s dander, and it can still cause allergies to flare up.
keeping a dog on a frequent bathing schedule, and scrubbing them helps this a lot
